THE NATION OF AD (PART-1)

This is the series of destroyed nations.

And its start with the nation of prophet HUD (PBUH) called as the nation of AD. 

The people of AD was very strong very strong that ALLAH says that no other nations are as strong as the nations of AD. They are very strong , very strong people. So lets go to the story,HUD (PBUH) was the prophet sent to the AD’s  people for their reformation.  Prophet NUH (PBUH) had 3 sons- SAM,HAM,YAFITH . SAM had a son name of  IRAM. IRAM’s one son was AD. So they named the town after the name of his son. The town of AD was very dusty and located near the hadramout which is now in Yemen. They were the people that God sent to them the Prophet Hud(PBUH). They built many palaces , many temples and use them for worshiping GOD.The people od AD was very strong , healthy , tall and wealthy also. At their time they are the most wealthy and rich people no other people no rulers can beat them. Because ALLAH given them that power to rule the world. But they  worshiping wrong way. They built many palaces for no reason , they worshiping them for no reason except worshiping one god ALLAH AZZA WA JAL. In that time they achieve many things and they proud of their achievements. They were indulged in sins and committed acts of injustice and violence. Instead of expressing a deep sense of gratitude to the Almighty God for the favors He had bestowed upon them, they became transgressors and showed disobedience to Him.

ALLAH (S.A.W) says in the quran,

وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَ وَقَدْ تَبَيَّنَ لَكُمْ مِنْ مَسَاكِنِهِمْ ۖ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَكَانُوا مُسْتَبْصِرِينَ

“AND the tribes of Ad and Thamud.  [too. did We destroy-] as should have become obvious to you from [whatever there remains of] their dwellings.  [They perished] because Satan had made their [sinful] doings seem goodly to them, and thus had barred them from the path [of God] despite their having been endowed with the ability to perceive the truth.”

ALLAH AZZA WA JAL sent to this people prophet HUD(PBUH) for their bad acts. Since he was a man from amongst them, it was certain that they would be more inclined to listen to him. The people of Ad used to call HUD a crazy man. There was one man in particular, named Abu Thamud, who used to call the people to listen to HUD speak. He wanted to prove to the people that HUD(PBUH) had indeed become crazy. The people asked Abu Thamud, "We know that HUD does not come to our gatherings nor does he believe in our gods. What has happened to him that he does not mingle with us?" Abu Thamud replied that HUD declares that God sent him as a prophet and as a warner to the people of AD. And if they are not  stop believing in statues, temples, that a grievous punishment from ALLAH would occur.Then they decided to go to HUD(PBUH) and hear what he wanted from them. HUD(PBUH) replied that, he did not want anything from them except that they believe in the One God(ALLAH). The people of the AD refused to believe. Since they were so strong in body size, they used to believe that no one was more powerful than they. They insisted that they will not leave their gods. They also claimed that  HUD must be lying. Still another person said that if HUD wants them to leave their gods, then he must come with the punishment that he is talking about.
